Welcome to Emmet's Hill Wood & Glass!

I live and work in Vermont’s beautiful Northeast Kingdom. I’ve had a lifelong affair with beautiful things  - most notably art, music and architecture. In recent years, I have had the opportunity and the inspiration to design and fabricate art objects made of stained glass, wood and metal. Every day brings new ideas – and renews my spirit.

The photo galleries show examples of my work, including lamps, stained glass panels and decorative furnishings. I strive for the highest possible quality in my work, but my photography is admittedly amateur. It is difficult to capture the beauty of wood AND the luminous vitality of stained glass in a single photograph. My solution to this dilemma is to include photos of the wood with lighting from the front, and photos of the glass with lighting from the back. Closeups are also used to show detail.
